Computer Vision Engineer Responsibilities
- Research creative computer vision and tracking software for a variety of virtual reality products
- Develop novel, accurate computer vision algorithms and advanced systems with a focus on real-time object tracking, SLAM, sensor fusion, visual odometry, camera calibration and 3D reconstruction
- Research, develop and prototype advanced hardware and software technologies related to tracking, 3D reconstruction, photometric stereo, object detection and appearance modeling
- Contribute research that can be applied to Meta and Oculus development
- Perform research that enables modeling and tracking the human body
- Conceive proof-of-concept prototypes that establish overall system performance
- Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various deployed systems
- Collaborate with team members from prototyping through production to advance the entire project
- Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted (remote work benefit)
- $190,408.11/year to $235,000.00/year + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus or equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits. Minimum Qualifications
- Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Position also requires completion of a university-level course / research project / internship / thesis, or 6 months of experience in the following:
- C, C++, C#, or Java
- Python, PHP, or Haskell
- Relational databases and SQL
- Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
- Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS including file manipulation and simple commands
- Building highly-scalable performant solutions
- Algorithms
- Demonstrated experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics or related technical field
