F&O Description:
- Be a catalyst for transformative growth for the business and the Global Consulting Platform (GCP)
- Drive alignment, integration, consistency and activate implementation of GCP initiatives across the GCP and the Member Firms globally
- Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., business, DTTL) in a transparent way that drives value for the business and the GCP
- Coordinate execution of GCP against the FY22-FY23 priorities and target outcomes
- Provide meaningful reporting to aid MF’s in managing financial performance
- Establish and communicate business operation policies of the GCP
Role Details:
LOCATION: Virtual; USI
This role supports a global initiative, which can be performed virtually, and as such relocation is therefore not required or offered. Occasional travel to other Deloitte offices may be required.
Responsibilities:
Reporting
- Support and enhance MF performance reporting processes based in Tableau i.e. monthly MF performance dashboards, quarterly GDN adoption report, etc.
- Support the enhancement of existing and development of additional dashboards
- Optimize data management (current source is 150MB+ of excel based data)
- Update formulas & builds of current dashboards to improve performance and processing time
- Incorporate level of detail expressions into interactive dashboards
- Liase with MF stakeholders to collect and prioritize additional reporting requests
- Support and enhance GCP performance reporting processes based in Tableau i.e. monthly forecasting, monthly actuals v plan, FTE tracking, etc.
- Optimize current Tableau builds that analyze GCP performance
- Develop additional dashboards that provide meaningful insight to GCP performance
- Liase with DTTL Finance to understand key drivers of GCP performance
- Support annual and quarterly DTTL reporting requirements and development of required reports (e.g., Investments Planning, Choices In/Out, etc.)
- Support the management reporting whenever needed (ad hoc and reoccurring)
- Support the development of ad hoc presentations/reports for F&O Chief Strategy Officer and COO Chief of Staff
Finance & Operations
- Function as the liaison between Global Consulting and DTTL Finance, including keeping track of and updating any spending against budget areas, identifying unique circumstances for budget groups driving over/underspend, developing monthly forecasts and cost/variance reporting
- Support the budget planning process which may include, but is not limited to, the following activities:
- Development of Excel and Tableau models
- Incorporating feedback/input from the Global Leadership Team (GLT)
- Synthesizing data from stakeholders and identifying key insights for the GLT
- Support MF FIG & Clients & Industries coordination
- Ensuring consistent reporting for MF financial and GDN adoption results
- Establishing consistent processes for collecting and validating data
- Advising on the development of new reporting products
- DTTL Finance Support i.e. Support of the Global EFA (e.g., DTTL resources) on all misc requirements
Ad-hoc
- Support to misc ad-hoc strategic projects
- Compile updates across various systems for meetings and presentations
- Given the unpredictability of asks, may be required to support a myriad of initiatives / tasks depending on priorities set by the F&O Chief Strategy Officer and COO Chief of Staff
Qualifications:
Education: Financial/Economic, Certifications in Data Visualization tools (preferably Tableau) is an asset
Years of Experience: Min 4 years Finance experience, preferably at least 2 yrs supporting Consulting
Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility to turn around requests in a short time period
- Organizational skills
- Highly proficient in Tableau (e.g. data connections, LOD expressions, complex interactive dashboards)
- Very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and work autonomously
- Holistic approach to problem solving (need to look at problems from both the top-down and bottom-up)
- Strong communication skills, communications with stakeholders of all levels is required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is an asset
