The Candidate

Required skills/qualifications of Blackboard hiring:

Candidate should have experience in DevOps of large-scale web applications
Should have an understanding of Agile/SCRUM practices
Knowledge with Amazon Web Services
Having experience with Linux in a production environment
Having experience troubleshooting and resolving application and/or system-related issues
Knowledge with configuration management using Chef
Experience with large-scale software development processes and multi-region deployments
Candidate should have an understanding of continuous integration systems (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)
Ability to script in python or ruby
Candidate should have excellent communication skills; fluency in written and spoken English

Must be a self-starter and collaborative team player
